Pricing

How is Motice priced?

A studio with eight members and a studio with three hundred should not pay the same, which is why there is no single list price. What follows is the whole mechanism behind the number.

Why there is no figure on this page

A single list price would be wrong for one of two groups: the small studio pays for capacity it never uses, while the large studio is looking at a quote that under-counts its scale.

So we publish the variables instead. Read the three factors below and you can place your own studio in a band; the exact quote is shared at the end of the demo call.

The three factors behind the price

All three are weighed together. None of them sets the price alone.

Active member count

What counts is not everyone on record but everyone with an ACTIVE PACKAGE in that period. The distinction matters for seasonal studios: a studio down to sixty members over summer does not pay for the band it sits in over winter.

  • Counted on members holding an active package
  • Archived members are not counted
  • If your member count grows mid-period, no interim invoice is raised

The modules you use

Calendar, member records, package tracking and attendance come in the core package. Sales and payment records, instructor commissions and the member portal are each switched on separately — a module you do not use does not reach the bill.

  • Switching a module on later needs no re-onboarding
  • A module that comes on works on the same data; it does not keep a second copy

Team size

Business admin, front desk, instructor and finance are separate roles. An instructor account is priced differently because it only ever sees that instructor’s own schedule and their own class attendee list.

  • Accounts are defined by role
  • The instructor account carries restricted access
  • User count can change during the period

What the core package includes

These come switched on; they do not need to be asked for. This is the core that runs a studio’s day.

Schedule, bookings, packages and attendance

Building the class schedule, bookings against capacity, waitlists, member packages and remaining entitlement tracking, attendance and entitlement consumption. Roles, the audit trail and data isolation are in the core package too — security is not an optional module.

  • Group classes and private sessions on one calendar
  • Booking closes when capacity is full
  • An entitlement ledger, every movement with its reason
  • Four fixed system roles and an audit record

Modules switched on separately

All three are independent. One, all three, or none at all are equally valid setups.

Sales and payment records

Recording a package sale with its entitlement count, validity period and amount; tracking the payment method (cash, bank transfer, the studio’s own card terminal, or free) and the payments report.

Instructor commissions

Commission defined as a fixed amount or a percentage, accruing the moment an entitlement is consumed. Monthly breakdown per instructor.

Member portal

Members book, cancel and check their remaining sessions themselves. Runs in the mobile browser; no app-store download needed.

What never grows the calculation

What the calculation does NOT count matters as much as what it does. None of the following enlarges any of the three factors.

Items that leave the calculation untouched

These add to none of the three factors above; they never make your scale look bigger than it is.

  • Archived members — a member without an active package is not counted
  • Modules you do not use — a module that is not switched on is not counted
  • Your member count growing mid-period — no interim invoice
  • Servers: the product is web-based and opens in a browser; there is no server to install or maintain

Common questions about the price

How do I get the quote?

It is shared at the end of the demo call. In that call we go through your class types, your capacities and your package setup, and the quote follows that setup.

What happens when my member count drops out of season?

Because the calculation runs on members holding an active package, you pay for the size you actually are. You do not need to delete members; archived members are not counted.

Can I switch a module on later?

Yes, with no re-onboarding, and it works on the data you already have. A module that comes on does not copy your past records somewhere else.

Do we need a separate service to move our data across?

There is no screen for loading spreadsheets and no data migration service; the member list and remaining entitlements are entered from the product’s own screens. Remaining entitlements are written as an opening entry and land in the entitlement ledger with their reason. Onboarding runs in three steps and our team is with you through the first week.

Payment terms, contract length and any trial arrangement are part of the quote; they are not published on this page.
